Star Trek: Sacrifice of Angels 2 Demo Released
[attachment=2342:post_5_1220088155.jpg]
The demo features most of the canon Dominion War era ships from the Star Trek universe, and Six playable factions.
The demo does not have a Trek style UI, Faction Avatars, Trek style structures, All of its effects, Balancing, and only one faction has appropriate theme music which is the Federation.
This is only a demo release so there will be bugs, and problems most of which i am well aware of, and working hard to fix. One major known issue is that the Cardassian AI does not work. It wont build, or expand. We are on it, and ill let you know when we have solved the issue.
The demo will be fixed for the 1.1 patch once the reference files and 1.1 forge tools are released.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment Announced!

Developed by Ironclad Games, Sins of a Solar Empire is a real-time strategy game that adds an extreme amount of depth normally only seen in turn-based releases. One of the highest ranking real-time strategy games of 2008, the title has sold over half a million copies and won several Editor’s Choice awards.
Specifically, Entrenchment promises to bring fans a Starbase defense platform for each race (extremely powerful and armored bases housing a variety of weapons and other upgrades capable of defending an entire planet), turret upgrades for each race to make them more powerful (not only stronger than the current versions, but also upgradable with long-range weapons), mine fields and a Subspace Inhibitor platform that will slow enemy ships within its range.
Ironclad has two additional micro-expansions in development as well. One of which adds new diplomacy features to the game and another that will add new technologies and ships.
The expansions are being developed to prevent fracturing of the multiplayer community. If both players have a given expansion pack installed, the features are available, but if one does not, the expansion pack features are disabled for that particular game.
You can pre-order the micro-expansion now for $9.95 directly from the Impulse Store. Entrenchment is only available through Impulse.

Sins 1.05 Released
Finally, 1.05 is out!
Grab it via Impulse or the Sins website, and the official discussion thread is here. Me, I'm going to go see whats changed!
Change log appears to still be the same as reported in the preview:
v1.05 Changes:
- Fixed bug deallocating particle pool memory.
- Fixed cargo ship related crash caused when loading a saved game.
- Increased the maximum length of map description text. If the text is too long, it will no longer crash the game.
- AI missions no longer continue if a human player has taken over for them.
- AI controlled units will no longer still have AI-control if a human player has taken over for them.
- Fixed crash when attempting to toggle the autocast state for an uncontrollable ship/planet module.
- Fixed capturable resource mines from being considered damageable.
- Fixed sync error in multiplayer games caused by cannon autocast targetting.
- Fixed squad owner infocards to gracefully handle large numbers of squads (100+).
- Fixed crash if you run out of video memory when loading textures.
- Planet asteroid setup now uses TotalMaxResourcesAsteroids parameter again.
- Added two new maps: Melting Point and Ancient Gifts.
- ICO accounts will now be forced to logout if you attempt to login with the same account.
- Malice changed to fix CPU issues in the late game due to previous implementation of the ability. Malice now accumulates damage on affected targets and then spreads that damage when the buff expires, rather than spreading damage as soon as damage is applied. Its duration, cooldown and AM cost have all been reduced to reflect this. Malice is now target capped as well at 8/16/24 targets.
- Fixed bug in galaxy generator related to vertical planet offsets when planets are too close together.
- New default texture quality settings set.

As some of you may have noticed, the first part of our ship database went online a few weeks ago. It gives you a general overview of all ships of the respective faction, including weapon damage info, statistics, image, ...
This is only the first (smaller) part of our ship database. The second part is currently in development and will be soon finished. It will give you full detailed overview and description of each ship, its different weapon damages, ability effects and more!
